Iowa is more than corn and beans.

It is a beautiful land between two rivers, with rolling hills, trickling streams, and wild birds in an expressive sky. It is a place of opportunity and promise, a place of life and a source of sustenance. Iowa is a gift.

These stickers are part of a project to highlight and celebrate local native travel, outdoor, and back-country experiences in Iowa through State Parks, County and City Parks, and Public Lands. Less than one percent of the total land in Iowa is in native or restored landscape: prairie, woodland, or wetland. We must cherish and grow the small amount we have! I am working towards the goal goal to create a design for every State Park in Iowa.

This project is part of a mission of discovery. Each little piece of graphic art is a precious memento of a day spent in the outdoors with family, friends, or in restorative solitude. The photography and drawings give way to a visual summary of an experience.

Our places must provide many things for us to generate healthy community. They must provide for our basic necessities; food, shelter, and stability are only the beginning. We must have opportunities to play, explore, and grow as individuals, families, and tribes. Public lands provide a local retreat that removes us from the routine of our lives and enriches our hearts through exploration, exercise, and discovery.

A portion of all sticker sales is donated to support the mission of Iowa parks and wild lands.

Naomi’s Iowa Parks stickers are available to order online.

Stickers on Etsy are high-quality laminated vinyl stickers. They are suitable for outdoor use. Designs on Etsy reflect the most popular Iowa parks and destinations.

Stickers on Redbubble are print-on-demand. They are vinyl and waterproof. There is a broader variety of designs on Redbubble. They are thinner and lower print resolution than Etsy stickers but suitable for use indoors, or on water bottles (hand wash only). Eventually all stickers on the Passport list will be available on Redbubble.
